With four simple steps, beginning teachers will implement and assess the impact of various teaching strategies with ease.
Dr. Michael McDowell will lead beginning teachers and their mentors through an engaging day of exploring rigor while connecting with other teachers from across Arizona. Michael McDowell, Ed.D. was a public school educator for 18 years, serving in the roles of classroom teacher, academic and athletic coach, school principal, assistant superintendent of personnel and instruction, and superintendent. A prolific author and consultant, Dr. McDowell is recognized as one of the leading authorities on integrating innovative and impactful practices into schools.
The Beginning Teacher Series is designed to provide early-career teachers with practical, hands-on strategies that can be immediately applied in the classroom. Each session focuses on new educators' real-world challenges and offers tools to build confidence and effectiveness in the critical first years of teaching. Participants will also be able to collaborate with other new teachers excited to explore fresh ideas, proven techniques, and support from other teaching professionals!
